Enterprise Scholarships 6 Dan Pilgrim is the first to admit that his graphic design business aims to buck a significant trend: “We live in a world where print material seems to be dying out,” he says. But guided by SPARK, Dan (Graphic and Communication Design 2014) has established Logan and Saul, which is creating bespoke brochures and artwork for clients to whom print remains important. “We used the funding to print business cards, establish our website and print a small publication which was a showcase of Yorkshire, and was a ready-made example of what Logan and Saul could offer,” he says. “It got our name out there. “I’m a great believer that print isn’t dead,” says Dan. “There is still the need to design high-quality, particularly for the arts and culture sector, and this is where I see my business specialising. “It is really hard to set up a business these days; the support from Leeds really got me started.” “I’m tremendously grateful. It has set me up for where I want to go in life.” www.loganandsaul.co.uk
