Proof-of-concept funding and success in the University Business Plan Competition helped Nick Howard (Theatre 2002) to establish Limehouse Films, which produces corporate film communications after his graduation.
Now Limehouse has its own premises in a converted mill complex in Halifax and employs 12 staff. Nick also took part in the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Initiative, which is delivered by Leeds University Business School and supports business leaders in organisations with high growth potential.
Limehouse now numbers major companies such as Yorkshire Tea, First Direct – and the University of Leeds – among its regular clients – and created the One Day in Leeds video to celebrate the successes of the Making a World of Difference Campaign.
