“I am deeply thankful for my Undergraduate Research and Leadership Scholarship.”
A generous legacy gift to the University allowed Energy Engineering student Kasturi Sukhapure to join research into biofuels.
Kasturi is driven by a desire to use research to better use of alternative sources of energy. “I believe that renewable energies should contribute wholly to the world energy mix,” she says. “However, it is an expensive solution to climate problems and particularly unviable for developing countries.
“By investing more in Research and Development part of the sector, we could make green energy alternatives more efficient and affordable.”
