A gift from Geraldine O’Connell has enabled the University to establish the Christopher O’Connell Prize in memory of her brother Christopher, a Leeds graduate and former physics teacher, who taught the International Baccalaureate in Europe and in Egypt.

In this video, which was filmed at the 2016 Physics Graduation in Parkinson Court, Geraldine talks about her “crazy and inspirational” brother, and about her pride in being able to establish the prize, which will be awarded annually to final year physics students who have been distinguished by their academic merit.
